It’s been fantastic season so far for Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon (£6.0m), who now has the 5th highest points tally out of any midfielder, despite sitting at an outrageously cheap price.
It must be said that he’s certainly looking to stay as a must-have in terms of FPL, with upcoming ties against Everton, Fulham, Luton and Nottingham Forest still to play.
Watchlist: Ones to Watch
In spite of not being Arsenal’s most expensive defender, Zinchenko (£5.1m) appears to be in red hot form. He’s been full of goal contributions as of late, allowing him to returnpoints with a brilliantly well-worked assist without a clean-sheet. The Gunners face Luton next, and I’d be shocked to not see a return from the Ukrainian international.
Assisting nicely for Burnley’s first of many goals this gameweek, Charlie Taylor (£4.0m) proved himself as comfortably the best bench filler in the defender category. And whilst I wouldn’t recommend starting him anytime soon, if you ever need a way of freeing up cash in the defence, you’ll know where to look.
Final Thoughts: Early Start Reminder
With very little to talk about in FPL terms this time around, be sure to make your changes before imminent price rises and the next gameweek which starts this Tuesday coming. Please don’t be the one to forget: it only goes downhill from there…
