League One Transfer & Rumour Round-Up

Kwadwo Baah has joined Burton Albion on a season long loan from Watford. The former Rochdale winger joins Dino Maamria's men with the aim of transforming what has been an abysmal Burton Albion attack, who have just a single point and a single goal to their name so far this season...

Meanwhile, Fleetwood Town have acquired the services of Celtic youngster Bosun Lawal on loan until the end of the season. Scott Brown has used his Glasgow connections to bring the young Irishman to Lancashire. Lawal joins the Cod Army off the back of signing a new long term deal at Celtic Park. The Ireland underage international will aim to bolster a lacklustre Fleetwood backline who are yet to keep a clean sheet so far this season.

South of League One, Bristol Rovers have captured the signatures of experienced fullback Jack Hunt, and young defender Lamare Bogarde. Hunt joins on loan from Sheffield Wednesday while Bogarde returns on a permanent transfer from Aston Villa. Joey Barton's men have enjoyed a decent start to the season, after establishing themselves as a solid league 1 outfit during the previous campaign. With these additions Bristol Rovers could easily find themselves improving on last season’s 17th place finish.

The Rumour Mill

After losing Jerry Yeates to Swansea, Blackpool appear to have set their sights on Sutton United man Kylian Kouassi as his replacement. Should the deal go through, the 20 year old forward will aim to provide some competition to fellow youngster Kyle Joseph, who joined from Swansea, as part of the Yates negotiation. Derby County

And in perhaps the biggest saga of the League 1 window, reports have suggested that Brighton are very keen on Derby County star Eiran Cashin after his major breakout season last year. Brighton reportedly had at least 3 bids already rejected by Derby, but are expected to return with at least one more attempt to sign the Ireland underage international. One to keep an eye on for sure.

Reading FC

Relegated Reading, who picked up their first league win since February, at the weekend, are set to go head to head with Championship outfit Birmingham City for the loan signature of Bournemouth midfielder Gavin Kilkenny.

Although they face tough competition, the prospect of regular first team football could be enough to persuade the Irishman to go to the Madejski Stadium.

Promotion candidates Portsmouth are looking to add some more firepower to their ranks with the addition of Chelsea prospect Tino Anjorin. Anjorin has endured some injury-stricken loan moves over the past couple of years, but a move to Fratton Park could be just what he needs to ignite a career that has the potential to take him to the very top.

Exeter City

Exeter City’s top-scorer Sam Nombe looks set to be the subject of a seven figure bid from Barnsley. The man who scored 15 league goals last season looked set to stay at The Grecians after manager Gary Caldwell publicly stated  “he won't be going anywhere this window or the next window for that matter.” However an offer of this magnitude looks like it may be enough to acquire the services of the englishman.
