Fantasy Premier League GW17 Review: Is Palmer Worth a Punt?

It’s definitely been a fruitful start for Cole Palmer (£5.5m)since his arrival, as the Blues youngster linked up nicely with Sterling (£7.1m) and Jackson (£6.9m) for a solid 14 points against Sheffield United.

For me he’s definitely worth the shot, especially considering his relatively low price along with his proven class that we’ve seen over the last few gameweeks. He was certainly unlucky to not have not had more points against The Blades, and I’m sure we’ll see more in upcoming ties to Wolves, Crystal Palace, Luton and Fulham.

Watchlist: Ones to Watch

Gabriel Jesus (£7.9m) managed to find the back of the net this time around, and although we haven’t seen the most consistent form from him as of late, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on the Brazilian international. The Gunners find themselves in some promising fixtures after next week’s top of the table clash to Liverpool, which may help the forward in stringing together some stronger performances.

West Ham were back at it with a convincing 3-0 triumph over Wolves, in which Kudus (£6.7m), Bowen (£7.7m) and Paquetá (£6.0m) all shined. My pick of the bunch would have to be Kudus, as he’s been a remarkable addition for the Hammers so far, and proves to be better value considering the fact he’s 1.0m cheaper than his English teammate.

Bowen is still a great FPL option however, and I’d certainly take him or Kudus over Paquetá, who hasn’t quite got the qualities needed to become a valid option yet in terms of fantasy football, despite his brilliance as a player.
